“Prior to meeting Mr. Teare, I had given very little thought to the idea of going to college. I had always done well in school, but not many people around me were talking about college, its requirements, the application process, or choosing schools. Being a first-generation college student there were also no resources at home to help guide me through this life-changing decision and process.
